AIAIAI TMA-1 HEADPHONE

Design firm KiBisSi and music production company Mannhandle (producer of the Raveonettes) defined a set of requirements for the TMA-1 months ago. They had strong ideas and high standards specifications regarding the device’s size, handling, flexibility, durability and… sound. When they started the project, AIAIAI founders had two reference headphones in mind: the Beats by Dr Dre and the Sennheiser HD25.

KiBiSi design concept was to “strip the product from all unnecessary details” to give the device a sleek and minimalist look, additionally, the AIAIAI logo is hidden inside the headband to fulfill the DJs’ desire not to display free advertising while they spin. The swirl cable on both sides allows users to adjust the headphones to their head, and the choice of this particular shape is reminiscent of the old sound cables. The unique feature is the removable cushions that offer various listening conditions: the leather cushions are more suitable for spinning in a club due to better ambient noise isolation than the foam ones. The device has been designed to be highly flexible making it very comfortable to wear over a long period of time and the durability has been increased by having most of the parts easily replaceable for reasonable prices.

Ruedione's Backflashes - Graffiti Tales
For years Ruedione was an active graffiti writer himself and the documentation of his works led him to photography. He says that passion, obsession and even addiction connects him to the medium these days and by now he exclusively uses the camera for his works. For almost a decade, he has been documenting the writers` scene and has thus remained part of it as its visual chronicler.
A visual expedition into a world that usually is restricted to the members of a very small scene. His photos show the active graffiti scene worldwide, may it be New York City, Sao Paulo or Hamburg. In his series, documentary photography that creates contemporary documents meets abstract snapshots that are distinguished by their independent aesthetics. These images give the viewer an insight into an usually hidden scene.

Calligraffiti - The Graphic Art of Neils SHOE Meulman
Meulman began tagging “Shoe” in 1979 and became a graffiti legend by the time he was 18. In the 80’s Shoe formed the United Street Artists alongside Delta, Joker, Jezis and Jaz, as well as the Crime Time Kings with Bando from Paris and Mode2 from London. Together they gave graffiti in Europe its own distinctive style. In the 90’s he furthered his technique by apprenticing under the Dutch graphic design master Anthon Beeke.
After that, Shoe ran his own design company, Caulfield & Tensing and was partner in ad agency Unruly. Shoe revolutionized the art of writing with Calligraffiti, an art form that fuses calligraphy and graffiti. He launched this movement in 2007 with a successful solo exhibition in Amsterdam. Since then, his Calligraffiti pieces (signed NSM) can be seen in various international exhibitions.
